All About the Living Christmas Tree

A Presentation of Warrenton UMC

In the early 2000’s, Warrenton UMC’s then Director of Music, Rev. Richard E. Ford, had a vision to bring the Living Christmas Tree to Warrenton.  A like-minded parishioner offered to fund the purchase of the tree, lights, consoles, computer, and program, and many willing hands and voices came together to build and inhabit the tree.  The first performances took place in December of 2001, and continued for 16 years and 98 performances.  Warrenton UMC took a break from the Living Christmas Tree in 2018 to re-imagine this beloved tradition.  In 2019, we are excited to bring you a NEW Living Christmas Tree performance under the direction of our new Choir Director and Organist, Peter Lewis.
